Re: Neighbours
rios - that jogged my memory of my 30th birthday. Had a pub hired out, as the evening came to an end the landlord asked us to be quiet as we left because of the neighbours.

Cue all the West Ham boys launching into "Neeeeeeighboursm everybody needs good neeeeeeighbours!"

I'm 43 next month

Re: Neighbours
I pretended to hate them, but fucking loved Neighbours and H&A, pure escapist nonsense with fit birds and sunny weather.

My ex used to have to sing the tune to neighbours to get our boy to sleep. He's 31 now.

Saw Roy Cropper in cafe last week sat on the next table Miss's being a fan was very excited while just I wanted to be really funny and ask him if he still went for the cock in knickers sort.
Miss's said she would knife me there and then if I did so I backed down being so dam funny.

Re: Neighbours
Was always a pretty straight forward concept for those in the UK who were not enticed by the drab miserabilsm of EastEnders & other UK soaps

A bit of sunshine and the likes of Kylie, Natalie Imbruglia, Whats her face Jane & Margot Robbie.
And of course it was a stepping stone for them (apart from 'Jane' who spent decades looking after her mother who had Alzheimers) and the likes of Russell, Crowe, Chris Hemsworth, Guy Pearce & Ben Mendelsohn.

Yeah I didn't realize that at first. She was Sophie Simpson in H&A.

A right fox.

Now she's a fat old Greek.

Re: Neighbours
Kristian Schmidt quit neighbours to come to the UK to present going live

He was Todd Landers and they killed him off.

He then didn’t get a work permit.

Re: Neighbours
Never watched this one.

My Mum loved Cornation Street, Crossroads and East Enders, so the first two were compulsory unless I wanted to eat in another room when I was a kid, and the latter had to be on when I visited later.

(There's even a photo of me with a pint in the Rover's Return, as I humoured her with a visit to the set when she came to see me when I was living in Manchester.)

As a result, I wouldn't watch any soap volutarily now.

Although I recall that Crossroads was sometimes so bad it was funny, even apart from the wobbly sets.
